Winemaker Greg Brown reserves his silk-screened "Psychedelic Rooster" label for small batches of specialty wines he produces from time to time. This "Sticky" is primarily late-harvested Petite Sirah blended with about 10% super-ripe Brown Vineyard Zinfandel. A one-of-a-kind elixir that deserves to be sipped and savored; it is luscious and subtly sweet. The nose is redolent of violets, framboise and cassis, which match the flavors that follow. Pairs beautifully with dark chocolate and fine cheeses, or enjoy on its own.
