The 2011 Meursault Les Rougeots has an intense flinty bouquet with touches of smoke emerging with time, the oak just loitering in the background and not obfuscating any terroir expression. The palate is very precise and subtle with tangerine and citrus peel, hints of blackberry leaf emerging toward the finish. Like many vintages of Rougeot, it needs a little coaxing but is worth the wait. Excellent. 93 points. Drink 2016-2033. -Neal Martin, The Wine Advocate
Bright, pale yellow. Musky citrus and stone aromas are complicated by smoke and a whiff of sulfides. Sweet, musky and energetic, with a pliant quality to the lemon and spice flavors. This very rich wine finishes with excellent cut and lift--and an impression of power. -Stephen Tanzer
